Dave Davies | As a founding member of the legendary British Invasion band, The Kinks, Dave Davies’ guitar work on the band’s initial hit singles “You Really Got Me” and “All Day & All of The Night” are credited with pioneering a new sound that later became known as heavy metal. Along with older brother Ray, drummer Mick Avory and Pete Quaife, Dave was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2001 and has been an iconic presence on the music scene for more than 40 years. Currently supporting his new album on Koch, Fractured Mindz, look for an upcoming DVD set created around Dave’s own life and spiritual journey entitled Mystical Journey to come out in 2008. |
